Equine MediRecord Chief Executive Officer, Pierce Dargan, and Chief Operating Officer, Finlay Dargan, were presenting in the Innovation Arena at the National Ploughing Championships. Enterprise Ireland’s Innovation Arena at the National Ploughing Championships has become synonymous with Agritech industry in Ireland. New innovations are highlighted from new start-up businesses and well-known companies introducing new products to the market that are set for global exports. Within the Innovation Arena itself, the future of the Irish Agri-Tech industry will be showcased with everything from new exciting machinery, smart farming and automation, sustainable agricultural systems securing the industry for generations to come.


With the support of the National Ploughing Association, the Innovation Arena exhibits the very best of inventiveness within the agricultural sector in Ireland. There have been big developments in the past twelve months with several agtech industries in Ireland reporting growth in their business. This is positive and demonstrates that even in the face of uncertainty, it’s a sector that is resilient and still has room to prosper, especially in the meet the demands of food security while protecting our natural resources. This year the Innovations Arena will focus on applications from start-up companies under 5 years old and established companies that are focused on innovation. New for 2023 is the chance from previous participants to apply for a space in the Agritech Hub, allowing companies to come back to the Innovation Arena to display their progress. The overall Start-up winner will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euro and the chance to engage with Enterprise Ireland.


Enterprise Ireland continues to strive to boost Irish exports and connect more Irish companies with potential investors from the four corners of the globe. 50 prospective international buyers from 10 countries will visit the arena this week and each exhibitor will have a useful opportunity to network and pitch their business. We hope that Irelands Agri-Tech industry will continue to deliver innovative solutions on farm across the entire globe, that ensure a sustainable future for all.
