The Curragh — Twenty riders are set up to participate in Equine MediRecord Student Derby, the feature race at The Curragh on Thursday 12th October. This unique race is for riders representing third level institutions that are members of the European Student Horseracing Federation.

The race, which was first run in 2021, was created to promote the sport of racing amongst young people throughout Europe and will see riders competing against each other for the chance to be crowned Europe’s best student jockey. The initiative continues to support the next generation of riders who are paving the way at the highest level of equine sports.
